Default Porsche Boxster S 03 vs. Boxster 05 base

Hello,

I'm new to this site.I'm interested in purchasing a Boxster for a second recreational vehicle. I'm up in the air with either going with a '03 Boxster S v. '05 Boxster. I like the new interior design of the '05 but it just doesn't perform like the S. If any of you have a Boxster S ('01-'03) or '05 Boxster (base), any information (maintenance cost, reliability...etc) would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, Well, Well.... My friend has a 03 Boxster, I have a 06 Boxster S, just the oppsite
What is the torque on the 03 Boxster S? I know the 05 base is 199 lbs ft.
There are things to concert between the 03 and 05 model. 03 model, you have to stop the car, pull the hand break then operate the top up, top down, this is how the car works. 05 can do it at up to 30 mph. Someone said you can adda aftermarker switch and you canfix this.
03 does comes with spare tire. 05 does not have spare tire.
S model has bigger tires, I would say cost about $300 to $400 more for a set.
Go for a 05 Boxster S if you like the interor design, you only live once.
