Hi my friend just bought a 1974 Porsche i believe 911..... Anyways he claims he bought it for $28,000 and it needs paint and some other thing...... It has 80k miles on it,it yellow and is this car really worth $28,000??????? I kinda find it hard to believe...... Also do u guys hav basic specs on a 74 Porsche?? He claims it over 500hp stock haha...... <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0"> I dunno much bout Porsches, i perfer american muscles myself but starting to get into some porsches.... Anyways try to help me with info cuz my friend is a big time liar......

a 74 porsche will usualy run between 150 to 190hp stock depending on model, 28k seems a little bit high for a 74 going price is usualy 12 to 20k.

 

If your friend has what he says, he stole that car for $28K. Older model (911T etc.) Porsches usually have around 190 hp according to Porsche Datenbank (databank). Depending on its originality, the price can be in the $20Ks (high) to low $10Ks. Please tell your friend that Yellow Bird which was a RUF upgrade for 80s carrera had 469 hp. Yellow Bird recently changed hands for $285K USD. Tell him to check out the following sites where he can see the basic specs of middle year Porsches (from 1974 to 1997) and the RUF upgrades.
