1988 944 What's it worth?
I have a 1988 944 Porsche that I purchased new. It's red with black interior and has 13,000+ miles. The interior is like new and everything is original to the car except the battery. Never been driven in the snow and only been rained on a couple of times, always garaged. Since I obviously don't drive it often I'm considering selling it, but I have no idea what it's value may be.
Anyone willing to venture an opinion.

I would venture in the 7-8k range. The problem with really low mileage cars/garage queens, is that they tend to be maintenance nightmares. Once you start driving them on the road, seals start leaking, pretty much anything that is made of rubber will need to be replaced, etc, so there will be a lot of associated mechanical bills. It might be worth a little more to a collector who will put it in a garage for another 20 years, who knows, but in today's economy, those buyers are a lot harder to find at the moment.

The car is old enough that age and even model year means nothing: it all its condition. It is possible you could get up to $9,500 for it - a friend had an '84 that he sold for that, but it was PERFECT: 28,000 miles but it had been babied, and with tons of recent work included seals, bealts, all rubber, etc., and it truly looked like it was about a week old. It took him about six months to find a buyer at that price. Most buyers at this price take their time and know they are paying a premium, so they expect perfection. In fact the gentleman that bought my friend's car had a very good 944 - truly great shape, but wanted better and had spent close to a year looking.
