Default e55 amg

driving home today and saw a ferrari 360 modena coming up fast next to fast lane where a newer e55 amg Merc was just cruising. seemed like two younger kids in the 360. after a bit, the Ferrari tried to pull on the e55. w/in a few seconds the e55 was gone, i mean this thing pulled like a freight train from about 60 mph. could see given slight curve ahead that the e55 got the better of the 360. also where amg typ. is it had RENNtech badge. infer this was probably a moded e55/amg. this thing was scary fast. a buddy of mine i mentioned this to has a Mas. Quattroporte and said even the bone stock e55 is a monster and not to be messed with. he tried the second month in having his car and said he got his a$$ handed to hime on an open stretch on Friday afternoon. thoughts?

Besides owning a 911 Turbo, I also have a MB CLK55 AMG RENNtech and man that car really screams!! It's almost just as fast as the Turbo believe it or not!! The E55 is really a beast with the RENNtech upgrades!

It must have been moded alot. I owned a 2003 360 Modena and I have driven the SL5.5 AMG and the SL 6.5 AMG.

I do not beleive as they come from the factory the SL 5.5 AMG could beat the 360. it has 493 hp power but the weight is alot more. The SL 6.5 AMG probably. It has 603 hp. I am not sure even the 6.5 would win. In a straight line maybe, in a corner no way!

The newer F430 with 90 more hp would even do better.

Just my point of view.
