Default Front end protection

I'm new to the forum having just purchased a 997. I am very interested in all of your feelings about protecting the front end from rock chips etc. Bra (if so which is the best), Armor Coat, etc. Any and all input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

3m Clearbra. We were using a different clearbra from another company, but the 3m stuff is much better.

Welcome Bilco.......Try logging on to www.xpel.com. They cut the patterns and you can install yourself, or they have a dealer/installer network that you can go to direct. I've just taken delivery on a 1990 911 Carrera 2. Plan to have the clearbra put on in a couple of weeks. Trunk lid, fenders, and mirrors cost about $125.oo installed, front bumper kit installed for about 250.00. Don't know what your car would cost to do, but the product really seams to work well.

Good luck and happy motoring.[8D]

I will be getting my 2006 Cayman S in July, and am interested in having the 3M Clearbra installed. No way I can do it myself. I'm definitely covering the front bumper, but what are your suggestions about how much of the hood/fender to cover? There's a big price difference between the two dealer sites (Xpel vs Invisible mask), and I'm waiting to see what the local installer will charge, and whether I can use a kit that I purchase directly or if I have to buy it from him. Again, any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.
