Default 30000 mile service cost

(a search on this produced zero results)

I just received a quote of 1000. for a 30k service on a 2002 911 Turbo which includes plugs.

The quote is from a local Porsche specialized shop but I have not checked the dealer yet. I was curious what you thought and whether you are going to the dealer or an independent.

The priceyouwerequotedis typical for a dealership. The dealerships will charge almost double than an independent Porsche mechanic. Iprefer to bring myPorsche to a independent shop as their prices are more reasonable. They will use the same genuine parts, however their labor fees areless than the dealerships. As a result, you will save a lot of money.

No, that is not a bad price at all. Plugs are a 6 hour job on a 996TT, then you have the oil change, inspection, filters, etc. I would charge about the same in labor.
