Default porsche 924 issues with keeping started

I am a military brat I bought a special edition signed and all Porsche 924 1981 but sadly could not afford to ship it over seas so I decided to put it in a storage unit and it has been in there for 3 years I changed the oil and put new gas in it what my problem is is that it cranks and starts occasionally but once it drops below 1500 rpms it shutters out and dies any comments on what the problem could be would much appreciated.

I'd pull your spark plugs, inspectand replace if needed (probably), install new fuel filter there probably is rust accumulation in your fuel tank (wouldn't hurt to totally drain the tank and then put fresh/new gas in). Check your vacuum lines for cracks-replace as needed.Check/replace distributor cap and rotor or clean up contact points within, rust could have formed during its storage time.
