hi all my name is paul i live in the uk, have a very sick 2004 boxster 43.000 mileswas driving on sat when my check engine light came on, pulled over straight away phoned porsche assistance picked up a faulty crank sensor, anyway porsche dealer started work monday said it needed a new dms at a cost of 1800.00 pounds so i told them to change it. on wednesday i had another call saying i had to pay another 250.00 for spark plugs ok, 2hrs later i had another phone call saying that they had possibly found another problem(sticky tappet> and it would cost another 1800.00 to check and repair. the final blow was the following day when i received another phone call saying that i now need a new engine now costing 10,000.00 pound bent valves camshaft etc are they having my pants down? how can they replace the dms and then tell me the engine has blown? can anyone give me some advice or questions to ask the garage. many thanks paul
