Hi, my name's John and I live in the UK, in the beautiful Eden Valley a few miles north of the English Lake District and about 12 miles south of the Scottish Border.

My first fast car was a 1990 Supra Turbo, fast but no soul!. I then bought a 1986 944 Lux, slower but lots of soul. Earlier this year I bought what seemed to be a beautiful 1990 944 S2 but it's got a few problems, more of them later!

Hi John,

Welcome a board. My name is Alex. I live in Wichita, Kansas, USA. I am anelectrical engineer working atLucent Technologies. I am a newbie myself. I joined the group in early december. I had 2 Porsche's prior tomy current one. My wife had 5 of them before she met me. I had a 1994 911 GT2 Turbo that I bought at an auction in New York. I had to sell it to pay my mom's surgery fees Then I bought a 1984 944. It was a great car. However, we had a baby and I had to get a family car so I sold that one too. My wife had 2 944s, a 924, and a 914. She kept trading them in. When she met me she had a 944 and she decided to get a Karmann Ghia so she soldhers

After what seemed an eternity, I found the car of my dreams. It is a 1986 model 911 Carrera Coupe that had RUF BTRupgrade. It has theoriginal 41982 miles on it. I am the third owner. The interiorstill smells like a new car. I am extremely happy. I am going to keep this vehicle no matter what. To make it right, I had to buy a Jetta VR6 and a 1971 VW Busfor my wife. She is happy because they are still in the same family (since VW is the parent company of Porsche I am told). I am now looking for a Porsche 356 to restore. I hope I can find one. I am going to give that to my wife, since 356 is her dream car.

Well, enough about me. Once again, welcome aboard and looking forward to chat with you and others more in the near future.

Ciao,

Alex.
