CtiggerPiglet had a good idea - what are the ugliest cars of all time.

I will start a forum list with my two top candidates:

Pontiac Aztec
AMC Pacer

the Pontiac Aztec and the A.M.C. Pacer are ugly cars, but I think my top ten beat them hands down! [:'(]

At first it was quite hard to think of more than a couple of ugly cars, but as I started to look for the pic's over the net they all started to flood back into my mind! Then I had the same problem as the most beautiful cars.....which are the top 10?

Anyhow, I'm sure you will agree that all of the cars on my list have been touched with the ugly stick!! [:'(] (And I'm sorry to all you Cayenne fans, but it is an ugly car!)

Man, those are some UGLY cars! Except, for some reason, I always liked the Allard - not saying it is pretty, but not ugly.

At least I've never owned any of these, either.

 

ive not heard of most of them either...

and i like the cayenne!

 

Patrick, you don't have had to heard of them to see that they are ugly!

I do like the Cayenne, but you can't deny that it's been touched with the ugly stick!

Here, look at one of my past cars, you may not have heard of it and I loved the styling, but I had to admit that most people would think (for a sports car) it was ugly!

Maybe not the prettiest car ever, but I think "ugly" is a bit too far. What is it. Somewhere I have seen a picture of it before but I can't remember. I assumes its pretty small, I'm guessing but only a bit bigger that bugeye Sprite size?

 

It's called a Reliant Scimitar SS1 and is quite a rare car (about 1000 built).

You're quite right in saying it's only small, but it's a little larger than the bugeye Sprite, more M.G.B. G.T. sized.

And if you check out my top ten ugly cars, you'll notice that it was built by the same company as three of them (Reliant owned Bond). Unfortunately, Reliant did have a track record for building ugly cars! [:'(] The Scimitar was one of the better looking ones.

 

A Scimitar - I didn't know there was a convertible, that's what threw me off. They were supposed to be pretty fast, weren't they. Never saw one in the US.

 

Fast? Compaired to a Porsche...No. 0 to 60mph was about 12 seconds for my 1.6ltr. The 1.8ltr turbo injection about 8 seconds. They are very fast around the twisty bits though! It held the road that well that it was very hard to get the back end to lose grip!

This Scimitar is a SS1 (all convertibles) and should not be confused with the Reliant Scimitar GTE which was a different car altogether!

This car was never available in the U.S. (as far as I am aware)!
