If the control is anything like the 944 you can replace the switches. Check with pelican parts.
You will need to be ablesolder to replace. You don't want to replace the climate control module if not needed. I think the cost is $850.00 to $900.00 for a new one or about $550.00 for a reconditioned unit. Ouch! Hope this helps.
I'm new to this site and am looking for a 993 coupe to purchase in the spring. How do you like your car? Good and Bad.

I think the 964 has the updated circuit board, which shouldn't require any soldering. I think the button modules just pop in and out to replace.
