My name is William Scott and I am almost 21 years old. I live in Florida but now I am visiting some relatives in Romania. Since I was a little boy I’ve dreamed to drive an exotic car and for my birthday my parents will rent me one. Sorry if this is boring but I am very excited! The reason why I am posting here is that I don’t know which car rental company to choose. My dad’s boss recommended www.xoticdreamcars.com. I also heard that www.gothamdreamcars.com is a good company. Has anyone had any contacts with these companies? Because my parents aren’t very rich and they can’t afford to make a mistake if you know what I mean. Any feedback will be highly appreciated! Many thanks!

Generally rental companies require that anyone who drives their car be over 25 years of age, not just a holder of a drivers license and over 21. Of course, your parents can rent the car, drive it away, and then turn it over to you out of sight of the rental company. But if you wreck it or damange it and there is any police report saying you were driving it, your family will pay all the costs. Just repairing a small dent on a Ferrari or Aston can cost about five grand.

For not much more than what it costs to rent and insure a realexotic for a day, you can attend a driving school (google and see) where you will drive a fast car ('vette, Viper) on a track, with instruction from a professional race car driver, and some of these places will let a 21 year old, or a 18 year old, drive. That might be altogether a better thing.
