the porsche gt2 runs factory 12s and a factory carrerra can get in to the low 10sbut a real enthusiast wont take his porsche to the drag strip, porsches were meant to be taken at high speeds on tracks and roads with turns, anyone can drive fast in a straight line try driviing fast into s curves, thats were the fun lies in a porsche. Get of the strip and get on a real track!

I totally agree with Doudtown's comments. My Porsche is a 1986 Carrera with RUF BTR upgrade. It has twin turbo and G50 tranmission. According to the previous owner, who was told by RufAutohause that the car is capable of reaching low 12s on quarter mile. However, I'd rather enjoy it in a wavy road than a straight race. Also, I do not think you can find a true Porsche enthusiast who is willing to put a nitrous in his system. Using Nitrous will definetely shorthen your engine life and it is not worth it for such an engineering marvel.

Alex.

Nerl,

We are running a 911 Carrera that we Turbo, is not running 9-10sec YET but we are making steady Progress, our Best time is
11.2 @ 140 mph, Thats all we do we her, she is a Show Car, 1/4 Mile drag Car and still in 100% Street Stock Trim, Without NOS just one power adder.

Our Times contrary to many others are real life and certified 1/4 mile Drag Strips times no BS Numbers, a 911 to run 9 sec will set you back around 50k.

Hope this helps.

We build our car to be a Drag Car, Show Car and still 100% Street Stock Trim, I have attended a few events just to watch and even do they look fun, Is not my type of Fun, I have open her up in many occassions and 180mph is not something I like to do often.
