911 reliability?

RE: 911 reliability?
A crapshoot indeed... with any used car you're looking at repairs. I'd suggest coming up with as much $$ as you can, and go to a dealer where there sell used 911's with an extended warranty put on the car. Even if there's only a year or two left on the car, at least you get as close to perfect a vehicle as possible, and go from there hoping for the best. But with a really old one, get ready to take out your checkbook regardless of how "perfect" it is advertised to be.

Hi
If you are young, fit, and have another car to use while you are working on the project, and understand how cars work then doing the work yourself gets you to learn a lot about your car, and you save money.
I've brought many interesting cars back from the dead on this basis, but the risk is that you end up rebuilding the whole car, you end up with dirty finger nails, you dont spend enough time with your wife or babe (or both!!!!) and you miss out on the rest of life's rich pageant[sm=icon_cheers.gif]
So be warned Regards Big Bob
