Default 996 SQUEAKY DASH

[X(] Hi There,
Has anyone got a DASH BOARD SQUEAK in a 2001 Model 996 with 45,000kms ?
I have 19 inch wheels and slightly lowered suspension and hopefully this is not causing the problem.
The squeak happens at even very low speeds, like 5kph., and is very annoying.
Is this just a Porsche thing, have such a rigid chassis, or is there a problem with my vehicle?
Your opinions/experience will be much appreciated.
Thank you

Nope, you have a screw loose or something. Shouldn't squeak at all, no matter if it is lowered, etc.

THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.
BUT LAST NIGHT I DISCOVERED THE PROBLEM.
IT IS THE RUBBER SEAL AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRONT WINDSCREEN RUBBING AGAINST THE GLASS AND SQUEAKING.
I REMOVED THE RUBBER AND THERE IS NO MORE SQUEAKS.

CHEERS.

I had the same problem with our 2001. I would push on the dash and it would move the squeak to another part of the dash. I didn't check the windshield seal. Thanks for the tip.

My 1999 911 makes noise also. I found out the seal between the window and the top was the issue. I use white lubricant once or twice a year and the problem is gone. my car is a cab. I suspect their is a more intelligent way to fix the window adjustment or something, but it works and I am lazy anyway
