Default 997 (2006) Carrera 4 s Questions

Hi all. I just bought a new 2006 carrera 4 S and am loving every minute of it. Just traded a new corvette long story. I love evrything about this car especially the bullet proof feel. I have the crono sport pkg as well.

My question is about 1st gear. The car flys overall especially on the open road no complaint. It does seem to have much less torque and power in first gear. I find myself shifting quickly to gain speed. Is this normal or should the car be checked?

I have a new 2007 C4S, and I traded a 2006 corvette Z06 for it. Forget the low end torque. You are probably used to the 1st gear kick, and it really isn't present in the car you have. I miss that a little, but I love the porsche

keep in mind, if they are brand new motors...they need to loosen up a bit. not sure what the 'break-in' time is on a new motor but all engines 'wake up' after a little use.
