Default Air conditioning not working 87 911

I just bought my first Porsche a 1987 911 Carrera. I had it for a week and yesterday while driving the air con stopped blowing out the center and side vents, I can't get any air (Fresh / Air con) to blow out the center and side vents now. When the car is off and I turn on the air I can rear the motor running from the front of the car but no air out the vents.Could anyone please give any advice you may have, also a little confused on how the air con/ heater/ fresh air/ works as far as setting the controlls.

Check your owner's manual. I had an 87' a few years ago and also found the controls confusing. The 87' also has 4 or 5 heating-a/c blowers in it so one or more of yours may be out of commission. I had one of mine almost catch on fire when its bearing went out, so it might be better to address it sooner than later.

If you have no air coming out of the front vents on any setting, then likely your AC control switch is bad (the one you turn from low to hi for the fan)
