Default baby seat in a 911??

Hi all,

New member here... Considering my first Porsche purchase.

I know this may sound silly to some of you but I was wondering with the tiny baby seat, would it be possible to place a baby seat in there?

I am looking at an '02 911. haven't decided on carrera or targa yet but the vette had to be sold prior to kids due to no back seat. now that we had the kids, I was wondering if we had to, could we put them in the back?

Thanks,
B

I have a 993 and also 2 kids. They both love going in the car for drives on weekends. One is 5 who sits on a small booster seat and uses the seat belt. The other is 2.5 years and uses a small car seat which also fits. The 993 also has saftey hooks at the back below rear windscreen to hook baby seat to. Im not the tallest person so there is leg room for both kids. Over6 footyou may struggle for leg room in the rear.

Thank you for the quick response. My son is 18 months old and my daughter.. umm... 4 days old :-)

While she would not get in the car for a while, would an infant carrier work in a car like his?

If your talking about a baby capsule well no. Some small baby seats thou do fit. Just a matter of testing to see which one fits. I think we have a safe-n-sound car seat for the young one.

Maybe a booster but not a car seat. Been there done that, unless its a super small seat

Even a booster is a tight squeeze. It's great when they are about 8 and don't need a booster or car seat. It's a perfect size back seat.

In the UK where the legislation on child seats is now quite exacting, the OPCs have good stocks and examples for different age children.
Take a look at this Porscheshop website just for ideas:
