Default Clutch Replacement

Hellow. New guy here. I am the proud owner of a 1987 Turbo Body Carrera. It has a weak clutch. I was quoted a price of $2,500 to have a shop replace the clutch. My question is how difficult is it to replace the clutch? I have good mechanic skills, a garage, and a good set of mechanic tools. Are thier any written instructions online that explainhow to do it. I am new to the Porsch scene. I would like to learn how to work on this car, but I don't want to mess it up either. Thanks in advance.

I could not get the picture to come up but you can see it here.

This requires removal of the engine and transaxle from the car (dop them out together, then disconnect the transmission while it is on the ground). Labor is about 8 hours.

OK on a scale of 1-10 how would you rate the difficulty. How does the A/C system factor in to the job? I assume Iwould have to put it up on jacks to get the motor out. I have done this before on anotherair cooled rear engine Germancar. Is there a good book you would reccomend ?

While it doesn't cover the 930 specifically, get the Bentley manual for your year 911, it will show the basics of pretty much every aspect of the car. On the floor, it will be a fairly involved job. I don't like working on jackstands, lol.
