Dash clock, speedo, and milage reading will not go out

Default Dash clock, speedo, and milage reading will not go out

I turned the car off and the speedo, clock and milage lights stay on. even after the interior lights go out.....I disconnected the batt. lead to reset and it didn't solve problem. any suggestions
thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not sure what year your car is but my '07 Targa 4 works like this. The gauges you mention will stay on for about4 minutes after you shut off the ignition or until I lock the car with the key fob. When I unlock the car, the gauges start reading again..

It's a 1999 cab. ..... it will stay on all day and night even ifI lockthe doorwith the key..... I've had to disconnect the neg. battery lead to keep the battery from lossing it's charge. I've had this car for a few years and never had this problem before.
