Default How much

Hi guys, I new to the forum

I own a 2002 carrera, unfortunaly due to my job, have to move from New orleans, to Rochester MN, and after 3 month of snow, and the car in the garage and renting other car, came down with the reality that I need to sell the porsche, but I do not know how much to ask?, maybe you guys can help. My car is a 2002 996, Grey color, 18,000 miles, with power kit, sport exhoust, short shifter, alu interior, heated seats, auto dim mirror(interior and exterior), auto wiper(rain detector), central console spoiler control swicht, radar detector with laser difuser, blue tooth hand free cell phone kit, and Ipod control with radio.

Thank for the help

JV

As a private seller, I'd guess you could ask around $50,000 +/- a few K asking price and probably sell for about $47000 +/- about $3K. I know there are higher ASKING prices on the internet but my experience is that private woners can not get as much as dealers no matter how clean the car and coooperative they are.

It's a shame to give up a car like that. Have you considered just putting it in storage or garage for 3 months a year (more like 4) and buying a winter beater? We had a fine one here for several years (even though winter, here, is about 5 weeks long): a ten year old Geo Prism, ne toyota Cooroola, we got for $2650. Lasted nine winters. If it were me, I'd think about this option.

And not to make you life more difficult, but particularly given you live in New Orleans , you may have a hard time/low price selling it. I would not try to sell the car there now (and I would not buy a beater there, either). If I were looking for a used car of any type I would not touch a car that had ever been titled in LA, given all the flood-damaged fraud going on out there, and I believe most of the market will feel the same way.
