I was hoping to get some opinions on a Porsche

Yesterday, I was at the car dealer and they have a 1999 Porsche 911 Carrerra for sale !

It only has 36k miles on it !

It looks like its in awesome shape !

And they want 24,900 for it.

Does this sound like a reasonable price ?

And also, if purchase this car, it will be my daily driver. How reliable would it be driving it on a daily basis ?

I had a 2004 and used it as a daily driver for nearly four years. It was a good car. I think Porsches are actually misunderstood. Yes, they are very well built, fairly fast and quick, but other than that they are "ordinary" cars in the sense that they are practical and easy to live with and don't create a high sense of drama. Only at the very top end on the model range (GT3, GT2, etc.) do you get into cars that a person really would not want to use daily.

Your car will be 11 years old and you will have to inspect it weekly and perform maintenance and service on it religiously, as you have to on any car that age, if you expect it to give good service.

Wow it's been two years since I logged on.

I ended up not getting the Porsche. Bought a motorcycle.

I'm looking at another Porsche now. 05 911 Carrera S 60,000 miles.

$38,500 drive out. Really like this one.

Maybe this one will be a go.
