Default Seats dont go back far enough

I realize I am new and in fact joined this forum to get an answer to one question. I want to buy a 997 Turbo Coupe. It has manual sport seats and they simply dont go back far enough. My right knee hits the door grab handle. I need to know if anyone offers a kit or if anyone here has figure outa way to move the seats back another inch or two. I have googled until I am blue in the face, no luck.

Thanks for any help

Scott

Hightower,

There is a adjustment lever on the side of the seat that lowers the seat down closer to the floor which ends up tilting the base of the seat down more giving you more leg room. One of my friends from work is 6 ft 6, 280 lbs fits in my 911. Its still somewhat of a tight fit, but if you are a big guy then you are probably used to that.

Kevin

BTW, this adjustment is almost impossible to do unless you are actually sitting in the seat, because it is spring loaded.

The 997 does not have the spring loaded tensioner like the 996 had to my knowledge, it is all electric.
