Default Unknown 930 Model - Can anyone ID!

Season's greetings to all, this is my first post here. I saw this Porsche 911 (930) yesterday and am befuddled as to the actual model, even having done lots of investigation on the Interweb. It must be a turbo cos of those big arches but it obviously has a aftermarket bodykit which looks quite factoryesque. I thought it may be a RUF but it seems that it's not. Does anyone have any idea?

btw I have posted the big photo in case you can glean anything from the details. It has Recaro seats and some very 80's BBS rims. Oh, I think that is a rubber body seal hanging off too!

EDIT: I have also noticed that while the rear light units appear to be from a 930, the mirrors and side repeaters are from and positioned in the same places asa 964. Confusion reigns for me, but I'm sure you chaps can tell me what I'm missing straight away!

I think your right about the after market body kit, never saw anything like that from the factory... Porsche did put BBS wheels of some of their cars.... Mine was ordered through the Special Wishes Program, and came through with hugh 15" BBS wheels... They were update to similar 16"wheels, to allow for easier tire replacement. The body kit on mine is from Porsche, slant nose delete.

Thanks Bob. Actually, the guys on my usual forum also did some detective work and we reckon it's a 911 Supersport with the owner having replaced the front and rear 'accordian' bumpers and added sideskirts. I'm still convinced this may be a slightly special version prepped by some tuning division, as the body kit just suggests something a bit different to an off-the-shelf job. Here's hoping!

Nice car by btw. Those wheels are classic.

It is different, looks really nice... Is it black or a dark blue, it's hard to tell from the picture... that piece hanging in the front looks like the fender beading.

It's dark blue. Yes, that's what I thought also. Do you think the rear bumper is maybe a RUF item? They seem to have a trademark long thin louvred look on their early cars.

Hard to tell from the picture, I'll look through some of my Ruf photos and see if anything looks close.. Probably best to ask the owner.... Maybe someone on Pelican or Rennlist might know.

Looks like a Strosek body kit to me.
