Default Engine Flush?

Hello all, I have a 87 924s. The oil cooler seal failed and water (lots of water) entered the oil system and the car sat for about 2 months. Well I just recieved it and drained it and was wondering the best way to flush all the water out.

Also can someone tell me what the sensor is located on the back of engine by the firewall that has 2 plugs with wires coming out. This one is broke and I have only one plug with wire.

I would first drain all the oil and change the filter. Put in new oil, start it up and let it run for a few minutes, then do another oil and filter change. That should get everything out of the oil passages.

I would guess you are talking about the speed and reference sensor on the back of the engine. the only other sensor back there is the o2 sensor.

Thank you, it is the speed and reference sensor. I thought of just the same as far as the engine flush. There was alot of water, I hope its ok. What a fun job removing the oil cooler!
