944 n/a performance upgrades?
hey i might buy a 944 n/a and it'll be my dd but ill use it for NASA HPDE and ill upgrade brakes, suspension, exhaust(probably try to get a v8 sound by installing headers, test pipes or high flow cats, custom made oval exhaust tubing by spintech and maybe no muffler or a spintech muffler) first.
I'm 15 but ill probably get the car next year but I'm planning for the future.
who makes performance camshaft/valve-train/heads for 944 n/(accept for John Milledge)?
who makes coil-overs/front,rear strut tower braces/k-member/lowering kits/etc.?
who makes intake manifolds/throttle body(because ill need to upgrade fuel delivery and air intake if i upgrade the exhaust) etc.?
who makes upgrade parts for the transmission to withstand the upgraded hp and torque(manual transmission)

Lol, i'm not sure how to respond to this, as it is a pretty far fetched idea considering your age and assuming your financial sitution as a teenager (maybe your parents will finance everything, I don't know).
1. You can try doherty racing or vitesse for cams, but you aren't going to see much gains for the 2 grand you are going to spend on a cam and install. You can get a high flow head from Lindsey or vitesse as well, though you might as well just port the intake's on your existing head as that is the process they use. So cam and head will probably give you about 10-15hp for about $3k.
2. Coilovers there are many options, KW variant, bilstein escort cups, JRZ, Moton, etc. Will range from 2500-5000 or so. You will need sway bars as well, so I would go for weltmeister front and rear adjustable sway bars, or tarrett bars. That will set you back 750-1500 depending.
3. Intake manifold, not many options out there. There is zero reason to change the intake, and you definitely don't need to change the fueling system for these upgrades, lol.
4. Transmission, uh, just put in a turbo or S2 tranny and don't drop the clutch or you will send the R&P out the back of the car.
You will put in about $10-15,000 to do the upgrades you want, and you will get about 25hp. My advice is to save your money and buy a turbo, or buy a car that has already been built. Actually my advise is to buy a reliable car until you are out of school and have a good paying job.
What is the entry age for Nasa's HPDE's? I know in the PCA we require a driver to be 18 years of age or older. Not sure about NASA though.
