Default 944 shifting problem

Hi fellas, it just occurred to me that the best place to find help in solving a problem with my 944 would be to ask the folks who drive them, and that would be you guys. I've had a 1985 944 going on 15 years now, and several months ago the rubber center in the clutch disc fell apart soI changed the whole thing - disc, pressure plate and bearing - as well as both the master and slave clutch cylinders. Ever since,I occasionaly have trouble shifting gears, most often into first gear when im at a traffic light. I'm pretty sure the transmission is OK because the problem started after the clutchreplacement.I live in Lebanon where I have to either TELL the mechanic what to do from a Haynes manual, or else go to self-proclaimed specialists (who actually messed up the car in the first place). There are no gears grinding, and usually its crisp and slick, it sometimes just feels like something in the linkage is preventing it from sliding into gear. I have to try a few times until it shifts. Any ideas what could be preventing the shift? some help would be much appreciated. I've got one other problem with virbrationbut first thing's first. I hope you can help.

I would start by checking the linkage point at the transaxle, and the linkage at the shift lever itself.
