Looking at buying a 944 and have a few questions
Ok, let me start by saying i know little to nothing about Porsches, i have always bought american muscle cars, but i have been looking at buying a 944 for awhile and now i have my chance.
the good is, the body is 100% right down to the paint
the bad is, it dosnt run and i dont know why, a friend bought it planning to scrap it and i want to save it from being crushed. what i do know is there is a computer for the car setting on the passenger seat, i am unsure if it is the computer for the car, or a replacement that was never installed, and i would safely assume the motor is seized from setting.
my questions are, what would it cost roughly to rebuild the motor that is in it?
what other motors would be a direct replacement and bolt up to the factory 5-speed transmission?
would it be possible to put in a chevy v-6 and t-10 5-speed transmission without extreme modification?
If you know the answer to any or all of these questions i would appreciate your help, i will continue to search the existing threads, but i figured i would post this while i look.
