Porsche 944 (NT)
this is my 4th 944 it is an 86 purchased from a German Auto Service company. The car has a very hard time starting (cold). It is as though the fuel is not getting to the injectors, or if it is, it takes a long time to ignite the fuel. It eventually starts, but first few seconds (15-20) not all cylinders are firing and it runs extremely rough. Further, white smoke is bellowing out the exhaust. To aide the start process, I have to pump the gas pedal like crazy until it final starts. After driving it a bit, I shut it down and restart, with out a problem. However, if I let it sit for more than 10-15 minutes, I run into this same problem. Looking for potential cause. Of note, the car has been sitting outside for over a year. I checked the spark plugs and ignition wires, which need replacing, but not sure if that is the root cause.
