Default rough idle/cold blooded

My 85 944 has a rough idle and is extremly cold blooded. After it warms up the idle seems to smoth a bit. Any ideas where to start looking first? I've checked for vacumn leaks and can't seem to locate any. Thanks, Milo

Did it just start or has it been that way for a while? I had the same problem when i 1st got my 944, and it was the mass air sensor mixture screew that was turned all the way in.
I had sutt coming out the tailpipe. Also i adjusted the thorther body adjustment screew to get the idle to 900 rpm,s. It idles nice now. This is just my experience, and there could be meny other things to look at. Neal

The car sat for 2 years not running. I bought it, got it running,(dme relay) new plugs, fresh gas and the rest of the goodies so I don't know alot about history as far as tuning. You guys rock! Milo

I would check your DME temp sensor and Idle Stabilizer Valve first.
