Been looking for over 6 months for a manual white 944/2 and finally found one. What do you guys think of the problem that it has?

I would assume worst case scenerio is the car will need new balance shaft bearings and probably a new balance shaft. More than likely used the wrong style bearing in there, or tightened the cover down incorrectly which will bind the shaft.

This is an integral part and cannot be eliminated -It's like asking if the water pump can be eliminated. Someone who knows what they're doing needs to fix this engine. Looks like the car has sold so hopefully it's headed into the hands of acapable mechanic.

ok, j/w cause I know on 1g dsm's you can eliminate the balance shafts, as they only serve to eliminate vibrations, and the engine runs fine without them, so deleting them can eliminate the chance of the balance shaft belt breaking, and smashing the oil pump...
