well i just got back my 86 944 from the mechanic afer i got him to fix all the oil leaks that i had. it drive well from the mech to school and back home. but after that i wanted to head out and ride for a while, had it in for a week so i miss driving a bit, it wont turn on anymore. it starts up but the rpm wont move past 1 and it just goes click click like if it is trying to go. at first it turn on but didnt idle so it die, so i was like okay i try again same thing but this time i was holding the gas to k33p it up but then i let go it when down and then the exhaust did a small bang. after that it just wont do anything but the clicking even if i hold the gas. plz can anyone help me out with what you think this could be, i am a poor college student, i cant afford to fix anymore of it right now plz tell me its not going to cost me an arm and a leg. ; _ ;

What exactly did the mechanic fix, that will give us a better idea of what he might not have tightened. Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Also could be a bad TPS. Unplug it and go drive it and see if it acts the same.

there was oil leaking from the cam housing gaskets and seals, so he replace all of the gaskets and seals. I will check it out tmr, cause it those start it just wont stay on. thanks.

well i got home from sch00l today i went straight to look at the car, open the hood looked around to see if any tubes where lose and the one from the air filter the the engine was the one that came off. so i put it back together made sure it was a secure and started the car, ^^ it runs again yay. so glad that it was not something else. thanks porsche doc.

I thought they deleted that hose?

That did nothing more that a lame attempt to keep dust from the belt under the cover from accumlating!
