Vacuum Line Question

Vacuum Line Question
I was about to replace my intake air when I noticed an unhooked vacuum line coming from under the intake manifold. Following the line it was connected to a T fitting and then to two sensors (?) on either end of the fuel intake. Thediagram on the fender shows the line going to a T fitting and into the the throttle body. thatT fitting is missing, I am assuming that this open line goes there. I know I have not used all the correct names for these parts but can anyone help?

RE: Vacuum Line Question
Well, first, if the car was running well beforehand, I'd remember that it was doing so with this hose disconnected: maybe that is the way to leave it, and screw what the service manual says.
But try fitting everything up and see what happens. However, the sensors might be bad (apparenlty they have had nothing to do recently), etc. Don't throw them away if you start replacing parts. You might put eerything new in and find it does not run better, and want to put it back like it was. I've had that happen.
Good luck.

RE: Vacuum Line Question
On my 86 turbo I once found a loose vacuum line under the intake runner. Turns out a plastic fitting broke off the side of the Timed Valve (or Cycle Valve) and left the line just hanging there. I installed a newvalve and reconnected the hose. Interestingly, by car would backfire occasionally before replacing the Timed Valve but it stopped completely after I fixed the vacuum line.

RE: Vacuum Line Question
After looking at Clarks garage I decided to go buy a t fitting and give it a try. It seems to run a little smother with smoother accelleration. Whether this is just my imagination or not, it certainly did not hurt.
