Do's and don't's for buying used Porche986
Rather than having to re-invent the wheel by one's self = what solid advise can the members of this forum provide for a first time "looker" who is rather serious about buying a 50th Anniversary 2004 Boxster "S".
Ebay always seems to have one or two; a dealer in Florida actually has four. Discovered a few private sale listings that legitimately appear not to be "curbers". . . is the premium to buy a "Porsche Certified Used" worth it (+$4000 +/-)?
Obviously many subscribers to this service know what I mean when I say there is more to a cake than just the icing. . . how and what service information, etc. etc. and what inherent weaknesses (I have to do the front brakes on my caddy every 20,000 miles)does the 2004 have, ETC ETC?
Also, if I am putting 8,000 miles/summer on, what can I anticipate for operating expenses = broad stoke, I realize, but what does it cost to keep up regular oil/service/brakes/tune-ups over say a three to five year= 15 - 40,000 miles = of "reasonable" driving. I'm not a kamakaze kid, but I know I will enjoy drivingthis 50th bday present more than I do my 320hp AWDR SRX. . .
Cheers

Willl let you know if it is worth the $'s.
