I've never had anyone say a bad word about my Boxster. If it ever comes up I'm sure I will have some choice words for them! I don't need a complete stranger validating my life. Everyone who responded to the Topic loves their car, no matter what color, year or how many miles. You guys all ROCK!! Keep it going...

I am glad it's a poor man's Porsche. When I first started looking for a used sports car I was looking at the Eclipse, Miata's and so on. I went on Ebay to look and at my price range for a convertible and the Boxster popped up. I couldn't believe it, I thought there has to be something wrong but there wasn't. I lost out on two bids and then I finally got a 2000 Boxster through the Porsche dealer near me. It had 102729 Mi on it. All of the maintenance records were stamped by porsche, the car was very well maintained. It's got little nicks and dings but nothing you can notice when I am driving by. I bought my car for 14K. When I tell people that there mouths drop and they look at there car scratching there heads. Also a lot easier to do maintenance than I thought which will save me a lot and allow me to save for any big repairs. I hope to get this car to 200,000 mi so far so good!!

Drive what you want and love what you drive. There will always be naysayers; don't listen if you don't want to.
