Mine jumps to 180 degrees fairly quickly and some times even 190 degrees and stays there. Is this normal? I live is Seattle so the claimate is cool to mild.

With as hot as it has been here in the Seattle area (I live up in the Arlington), its normal for your engine to run warmer, especially when sitting in stop-n-go traffic like we do. As long as there aren't any warning lights coming on, my mechanic has told me not to worry about it. Your engine will cool down some when traffic speeds are up for a while, and then heat up again when traffic slows to a crawl again. It is supposed to be even hotter next week, so I guess we'll have more of the same.

Thanks, I did call Larson and Barrier and theysaid that those are normal limits as well. I've justnever had a vehicle run that hot, except a SAAB I had20 years ago.
