Flap motor for the heater!

Flap motor for the heater!
Now that it is fall and the temperature in Chicago is in the 40’s-50’s… I turn the heat on in my truck and the driver side blows hot but the passenger side is ice cold. I called Porsche and have been told it was a solenoid or possibly a flap motor that is broken. I have also been told it is really common for the 2003-2004 models. A cheap part but you have to take out the dash to get to it.
They tell me its like 7 hours labor to get the dash out. That’s like $800 plus in labor for a supposedly $50.00 part.
Anybody have any better ideas, other than freezing out my wife?
