HELP!!! 265/35/22 or 285/35/22????
I have a 2006 V6 Cayenne and I want to upgrade to 22" wheels.
The tire package offered is usually the 285/35/22 but in this Tire Size Calculator webpage (http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp) in comparison to the 265/35/22.
The 265 has only a 0.96% (bigger) diameter difference and a 0.972% (slower) Speedometer difference.
The 285 has 2.79% (bigger) diameter difference and a 2.855% (slower) Speedometer difference.
Says on the webpage that anything over 3% in diameter difference is not recommended.
All this compared to the original wheel and tire size, 236/65/17!!
I have seen that everyone fits their cayennes with the 285, Anyone has any suggestions, recommendations????

RE: HELP!!! 265/35/22 or 285/35/22????
I have a 2003 Cayenne S with 22 inch rims. The tires I use are 265x35-22 Toyo Proxes. If you have navigation you have to go with the smaller tire. Unless you have your truck recalibrated with the new wheels on them, your navigation unit will not be able to correctly determine where you are or how far a destination is accurately.
