Default Is New Cayenne (2011 or later) more relible?

I have been keeping my eyes on Cayenne for last few years. This newer version (2011, or 2nd generation Cayenne) has some updates and improvements. I am about to buy one now.

Maintainence is a must, but the unexpected issues or breakdowns could be very expensive to repaire. Could you please share any experience on the quality of the newer Cayenne (2011 or later)?

Thanks in Advance!

Porsche Cayenne eaten by a mouse! No joke. My 2012 Cayenne diesel had a Chassis System Failure (Critical) after 13 months on the road. It has taken the Porsche dealer 5 weeks to find the cause. Verdict: A mouse had chewed through a nitrogen pipe of the chassis system. Only 12 months warranty, so no cover and great expense. Be careful, Porsche cars are not rodent proof!

That's tough! So is that pipe plastic?

Default Porsche install edible pipes for rodents

Plastic pipes for the nitrogen filled chassis system, much liked by rodents. Cheese or chocolate flavour? Dealers in South Africa are replacing them with a different material due to problems with rodents enjoying the taste!
