Porsche Cayenne 2011 Panorama Roof Review
Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of selecting options on a new 2011 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. I'm really torn on whether to get the Panorama roof option. Most of the Cayenne Turbo's that are in stock seem to have this option. I live in South Florida and it can get extremely hot here during the summer. I noticed when I test drove it that the sun shade is not made of complete blackout material. Its more of a screen type material which blocks most of the sun but not all of it. Can anyone comment on whether or not they have a problem with the Panorama roof shade blocking enough heat and light?
Also, I'm basically getting the Turbo model with the Premium Package. Are there any other options that you highly recommend or can't live without?
Thanks!!!!

I think you will find that the sunshade does let quite a lot of light and heat into the interior on bright summer days, but then it won't take too long to cool the car down anyway. Dealers stock lots of cars with the option because they make money on the option and the cars are in demand so people will buy them anyway. If you like the idea of the panorama roof (it is fun and dramatic to use) then buy it. Personally, for some reason I find a sun/moon/panorama roof of any type distracting when I drive and avoid them, but that's just me.
