RE: Porsche Cayenne news for 2008/2010
Regarding Porsche and Volkswagen, the Cayenne and Touareg are automotive cousins and developed jointly by the two automakers. I'm sure their intention was to save costs. It takes a boat-load of cash to produce a new vehicle. This way they split it. The VW isn't supposed to compete with the Cayenne by virtue of price point. But then again, VW seems to think they can ask Porsche-like prices. Big mistake.
