Porsche 73-89 911/930 Starter Motor
First $150 takes it!!! My Ebay auction is here:
http://tinyurl.com/6own5s
A reconditioned starter motor for a 1973-1989 Porsche 911 or 930. (Does not fit '89 964's I bought for my '89 C4!)
Bosch 0 001 312 100 Porsche Part# 911.604.101.01
I looked at the reconditioned on pelican and they were $175 but when I added to my cart it added core charge* plus fees and it came to $325 subtotal prior to tax and shipping! A new one comes up as $890!

*A core charge is a fee that is added to the price at point of sale. Apparently this is a common practice in the sale of automotive parts. When you return the part (in this case, the starter) the core charge is refunded to you. The purpose of the core charge is to make sure that old parts are returned to stores where they are to be recycled. The idea being to help the environment.
