1991 944 s2, I am trying to improve and upgrade my porsche, These are the mods so far.
Interior.
New sports seats, trimmed in red & black leather, new black headlineing, all carpet, door cards and trim pieces changed from grey to black.
New black center console, New dash (to be fitted)
Chrome dial rings, red leather gear gaitor.
Speaker uprade, Deeper center console lid (arm rest )
Exterior.
968 wing mirrors & door handles colour coded & fitted. lowering springs, clear indicator lenses front & rear.
I have just removed the rear 4 piece spoiler and painted it, should be back on this week.
Engine.
stock 3.0 litre, with K&N panel filter, hayward & Scott de-cat pipe, sports rear box.
I have a set of 18" turbo alloy that are waiting for tyres.
The rear spoiler pieces are now polished and ready for fitting, but beware 944 owners, the trim fasteners break easily on removal and my usual supplier of porsche parts PORSCHESHOP were very unhelpful and would not supply fasteners but said i had to buy a complete spoiler for £400.
I made new ones out of stainless steel for nothing!
All parts now fitted, next is tyres for the 18" turbo alloys.
While the wheels were off i have fitted new handbrake shoes and rear discs, cleaned up under the arches and re waxoiled
Now the new wheels and tyres (p zeros) are fitted.
I ran the car like this last summer, now i want more spead and acceleration, better handling.
Things are now getting radical, total strip out with all sound deadening, carpet and anything else not needed to save weight.
home made induction system made.
The car is now getting to impracticle for the road so i am going to build a race car and apply for my MSA licence
i have looked at brake cooling ducts and think i can build my own set up that will look better than the ones i have seen on the market.
I hope you like the way the mods are going and any comments or ideas for upgrades are wecome
